Marché International Ltd, owned by Møvenpick Holding Ltd in Switzerland, took over the operational running of By the Way AS’s 12 Family restaurants and 3 motels in Norway under the name Marché Restaurants Norge AS, in September 2006.

Even though the Marché restaurant chain is a new phenomenon in Norway, the Marché Restaurants chain is 25 years old this year. This Swiss concept with the French-sounding name, can be found in and around railway stations, motorways and airports in Switzerland, Germany, Austria, Slovenia, Singapore, Korea and Malaysia, and now in Norway as well.

Marché Restaurants’ international success is based upon the preparation of fresh produce in front of the guests. The Marché concept has reaped much praise for its focus on quality and freshness and we hope that our guests in Norway will also experience this.
